I’ve been thinking a lot recently about how important it is to have a support network as a new mum. It can be really hard, lonely and tiring with a new baby (and even, in my case, a not so new baby.
I was lucky enough to find that support, and I’ve written a little bit about it.
I qualified with a BA Hons in English and Creative Writing in 2015, and since then I have worked as a Freelance Writer and Blogger.
My degree was very varied, I studied a number of different modules, both in fiction and non-fiction. I created original pieces of script for film, radio, television and stage, as well as poetry and Children’s Literature.
However, I felt my specialism was Biography, and I was awarded a first classification for my project: Rose Hannah: Cotton Weaver. Pauper. Lunatic. A project I am continuing to work on.
I recently finished work in order to stay at home with my daughter, who is now eight months old. During this time I have been working on my parenting and lifestyle blog: Pip and Blossom.
I am hoping to start my MA in Creative Writing this September.
